Les funcions inclouen:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Control d&#8217;injecci\u00f3 de combustible<\/strong> : L&#8217;ECU ajusta la quantitat de combustible segons par\u00e0metres com la posici\u00f3 de l&#8217;accelerador i la temperatura del motor.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Control del temps d&#8217;injecci\u00f3<\/strong> : Ajusta el moment exacte en qu\u00e8 es produeix l&#8217;espurna per millorar la pot\u00e8ncia i reduir el consum.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Control de distribuci\u00f3 de v\u00e0lvules<\/strong> : Optimitza el flux d&#8217;aire al cilindre, incrementant la pot\u00e8ncia i evitant la mala combusti\u00f3.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Control d&#8217;arrencada<\/strong> : Millora l&#8217;efici\u00e8ncia del motor en controlar la injecci\u00f3 i ignici\u00f3 sense fer servir un motor d&#8217;arrencada.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Les <strong>ECUs programables<\/strong> permeten ajustar el comportament del motor despr\u00e9s de modificacions, com ara canvis de turbocompressor o de combustible, mitjan\u00e7ant programaci\u00f3 mitjan\u00e7ant un port\u00e0til.
