S&#8217;utilitza en turismes i vehicles comercials lleugers des del 2003, abans de l&#8217;entrada en vigor de la norma <strong>Euro4<\/strong> , que regula els l\u00edmits d&#8217;emissions de gasos de combusti\u00f3. <\/p>\n<p>Els filtres DPF\/FAP estan dissenyats per atrapar part\u00edcules en \u00e0rees urbanes i realitzar una <strong>regeneraci\u00f3<\/strong> a la carretera, un proc\u00e9s autom\u00e0tic que elimina les part\u00edcules atrapades. Aix\u00f2 s&#8217;aconsegueix mitjan\u00e7ant la polvoritzaci\u00f3 de combustible a la fase d&#8217;escapament, provocant la incineraci\u00f3 de les part\u00edcules. Per exemple, una fuita d&#8217;oli al turbo, que \u00e9s a prop del filtre, pot saturar-lo i fer malb\u00e9 el propi turbo per exc\u00e9s de pressi\u00f3. Altres problemes inclouen <strong>alt quilometratge<\/strong> , <strong>acumulaci\u00f3 de sutge<\/strong> , fallades en <strong>sensors<\/strong> que impedeixen la regeneraci\u00f3 del filtre, i la <strong>impossibilitat d&#8217;iniciar la regeneraci\u00f3<\/strong> en conducci\u00f3 urbana oa <strong>baixes revolucions<\/strong> .  <\/p>\n<p>Quan el testimoni d&#8217; <strong>anticontaminaci\u00f3<\/strong> s&#8217;enc\u00e9n, indicant que el filtre est\u00e0 saturat, la regeneraci\u00f3 a la carretera podria no solucionar el problema. En aquests casos, cal buscar assessorament professional per evitar reparacions costoses i considerar diverses opcions, com ara: <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Regeneraci\u00f3 DPF\/FAP<\/strong> : Servei de neteja del filtre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Substituci\u00f3 DPF\/FAP<\/strong> : Reempla\u00e7ament del filtre a un cost menor que el servei oficial.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recalibraci\u00f3 de l&#8217;ECU<\/strong> : Ajust de la unitat de control del motor per evitar regeneracions for\u00e7ades, eliminar el sensor de pressi\u00f3 i millorar l&#8217;aireig del motor, a m\u00e9s d&#8217;un lleuger augment de pot\u00e8ncia i la possibilitat d&#8217;usar biocombustible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00c9s important tenir en compte que l&#8217; <strong>eliminaci\u00f3 dels sistemes DPF\/FAP<\/strong> no \u00e9s legal en alguns pa\u00efsos, com la <strong>Uni\u00f3 Europea<\/strong> , a causa de les normatives d&#8217;emissions <strong>Euro4, Euro5 i Euro6<\/strong> .
